Can I temporarily deactivate my account and come back later?

Slowly does not currently offer a temporary-deactivation or “pause account” feature.

When an account is deactivated, a 30-day deletion period begins. If the account is not restored during that period, its data will be permanently deleted.

If you only want to take a break, you can try the following instead:

1. Turn off Accepting New Friends
   This prevents new users from matching with you while you are away.
    
2. Let your current pen pals know
   You can send them a letter or add a short note to your About Me section.
    
3. Turn off push notifications
   Go to My Profile > Settings > Push Notifications and disable the notifications you do not want to receive.

These options allow you to take a break without beginning the account-deletion process.
