Slowly may restrict a connection when its IP address is identified as a hosting, proxy or other high-risk address because unusual activity has been detected.
This does not mean that all VPNs are blocked. Access depends on the reputation and classification of the particular IP address you are using.
Why can this happen on a normal connection?
In some cases, a home internet provider may route traffic through infrastructure that is classified as hosting. This can cause a restriction even when you are not intentionally using a hosting service.
What can I try?
- Connect to a different VPN server
Another server from the same VPN provider may use an IP address with a different classification.
- Temporarily disconnect the VPN
Turn off the VPN and try using Slowly again.
- Try another trusted network
You can switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data to see whether the restriction is related to the current network.
If the problem continues, please email Slowly Support at support@getslowly.com.
When contacting us, please include:
- Your account details
- The error message you received
- A clear description of the issue
- Screenshots or a screen recording showing what happens, if possible
This information will help us identify whether the connection is being restricted.
