Why is selfie verification required during sign-up?

Selfie verification may be required during sign-up to help protect the Slowly community from scams, fraud, automated registrations and other misuse.

How is the verification handled?

The selfie check is processed securely using AWS verification technology. The verification data is used only to complete this safety check and is not shared with other third parties.

Why do I need to complete it?

The verification helps confirm that an account is being created by a genuine person and reduces the risk of abusive or fraudulent registrations.
 

If the required verification is not completed, the account registration cannot be finished.
