At Slowly, we are committed to creating a safe and positive environment for all users, especially young people. Child safety is one of our highest priorities. This policy outlines our firm stance against Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) and Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). It reflects our safety-first approach, aligns with our Community Guidelines, and ensures compliance with international standards and legal obligations related to child protection.
1. Definitions
Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE)
CSAE refers to any act or content that sexually abuses or exploits a minor. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Grooming or attempting to gain a child’s trust for predatory purposes
- Sexual harassment involving or targeting minors
- Solicitation of sexual acts from or by a minor
- Sextortion (sexual extortion)
- Child trafficking for sexual purposes
- Any attempt to depict, suggest or encourage the sexualisation of a minor
All such behaviour is strictly prohibited on Slowly.
Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)
CSAM refers to any content that depicts or involves a minor in a sexually explicit context. This may include photos, videos, live streams, chat messages, illustrations or any other material showing or implying child sexual abuse.
CSAM is illegal, universally condemned, and has no place on Slowly or anywhere else. Even a single instance will result in immediate action, including removal and reporting to the appropriate authorities.
2. Zero Tolerance for Child Exploitation
Slowly has a zero-tolerance policy toward CSAE and CSAM. Any attempt to exploit, endanger or sexualise a child will lead to swift enforcement action, without warning.
As stated in our Community Guidelines:
Sexualisation of Minors
Any content that depicts or implies the sexualisation of minors is strictly forbidden. This includes, but is not limited to, text, emojis, images, comments, questions or roleplay. All such behaviour will be reported to the proper authorities.
This means:
- No Exploitative Content or Behaviour: Any behaviour that seeks to sexualise, manipulate or engage a child inappropriately is strictly banned, including acts that may appear subtle or non-sexual at first glance (e.g. grooming or seeking private interactions).
- No Warnings Given: Users who create, share or attempt to distribute CSAM or engage in CSAE will be permanently banned, with content removed immediately once detected. There are no second chances for child safety violations.
3. Reporting and Moderation
We encourage our users to report any suspicious or harmful behaviour involving minors. Reports can be submitted via:
- In-App Reporting: Go to your friend list, select the profile you wish to report, tap the 3-dot icon in the top right corner, and choose Report User.
- Email Support: Send a report to support@getslowly.com.
All reports are treated with strict confidentiality and are reviewed within 24 hours. Cases involving CSAE are prioritised and escalated to our legal team for immediate action. We also cooperate with law enforcement agencies when required.
Please include as much relevant detail as possible when submitting a report, such as the reason for concern and any supporting evidence.
4. Response Protocol
When a report or detection of CSAE/CSAM occurs, we follow a strict response process:
- Review of reported content within 24 hours
- Removal of content and suspension of offending accounts
- Preservation of evidence for legal processes
- Mandatory reporting to authorities where required by law
