Can I control the languages of letters I receive from new matches?

You can manage your language preferences by updating the languages listed in your profile.

Slowly matches you with users based on the languages in your profile. To receive letters in certain languages, simply add them to your list. If you remove a language, you’ll stop receiving new matches in that language.

To update your language preferences:

1. Go to My Profile ( ☰ in the bottom menu )
2. Scroll down and select Languages under About Me section
3. Select Add Language to include a new one, or select an existing language to edit or remove it

Your future matches will reflect the languages currently selected in your profile.

Note: Slowly does not censor or detect the language used in private letters. While the system ensures you and your match share at least one language in common, some users may still choose to write in a language you haven’t selected.
