What is Slowly ID?

Slowly ID is a unique ID assigned to each user, designed to facilitate connections with friends you know in real life. You can add your friends in Slowly by obtaining your friends’ Slowly ID.

It is important to note that Slowly IDs are not visible to the public, you can find your own Slowly ID in My Profiles (  in the bottom menu). 

To add friends by Slowly ID, you must first obtain your friend’s Slowly ID and ensure they have enabled the function "Allowing others add me by ID", which can be set in Accepting New Friends in My Profiles.

Here are the steps to add friends using Slowly ID:

1. Go to  Discover (the middle tab in the bottom menu)
2. Under Discover People, select Slowly ID
3. In the "Add Friend By Slowly ID" section, search for your friend by entering their Slowly ID 
4. Click Request

Your friend will have to accept your friend request, which they can find in the "Friend Requests" section on their home screen (i.e. under Recently Received). 

Once your friend accepts your request, their name will appear in your friend list, and you can start the pen pal journey with them on Slowly.
