How can I change the greeting message in the chat bubble next to my avatar?

The greeting displayed in the chat bubble next to your avatar is generated automatically from the languages and proficiency levels in your profile.

How can I change it?

Update the languages or proficiency levels listed in your profile. 

1. Go to My Profile (your avatar in the bottom menu, or ☰ if you're using an older version of Slowly)
2. Scroll down to About Me section
3. Tap Languages

If you have selected more than one language, Slowly normally displays the two languages with the highest proficiency levels.

If you have set an emoji as your status, the emoji may appear instead of the language greeting.
 

How can I check the result?

Use Preview My Profile to see how the greeting appears to other users. 

Recent changes may take a short time to appear because the preview can use cached information.
